【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthematerialrequirementsforpreformedpolychloropreneelastomericjointsealsforconcretepavements.Thesealconsistsofamultiplewebdesignandfunctionsonlybycompressionofthesealbetweenthefacesofthejointwiththesealfoldinginwardatthetoptofacilitatecompression.Thesealisinstalledwithalubricantandisdesignedtosealthejointandrejectincompressibles.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;Thisspecificationisamanufacturingandpurchasingspecificationonlyanddoesnotincluderequirementsorconsiderationsforselectionofsize,ortheinstallationofthejointseals.However,experiencehasshownthatsuccessfulperformanceofthisproductdependsupontheproperselectionofsizeandcross-sectionaldesignofthejointseal,jointsize,andjointspacingfortheambientconditionsthepavementwillbeexposedto,andcareintheinstallationofthejointseals.
